Position Overview and Responsibilities

The agency is seeking a qualified candidate to serve the Office of FX Program Administration as a Project Manager. Responsibilities include managing transition and special projects, providing process improvement, and coordinating Project Change Requests, Risks, Action Items, Decisions, and Lessons Learned (CRAIDL)l and delivery assurance work on projects supporting the FX Program. The candidate should be highly organized, task-driven, detail-oriented, and able to timely follow assignments to completion. They must also be a good listener, have strong team building and communication abilities, and be capable of managing multiple projects. This individual should maintain excellent verbal and written communication with upper management to ensure smooth running of all assigned projects.

 

The primary duties and responsibilities for this position include:

• Assisting the FX Risk & Issue Manager with ensuring FX Program and Project Change Requests, Risks, Action Items, Decisions, and Lessons Learned (CRAIDL) adhere to FX Standards. This includes ensuring that Agency and FX Vendor resources are appropriately trained and engaged in the identification, assignment and resolution of CRAIDL items.

 

• Assisting the FX Risk & Issue Manager with coordination of delivery assurance activities on projects supporting the FX Program.

 

• Manage FX transition and special projects to support FX Program success for projects related to FX Program Administration, Governance and process improvement. This includes ensuring FX and PMI Standards are followed, coordinating tasks, schedules and resources, as well as directing and monitoring of work efforts and performing appropriate communication, escalation and quality review tasks.

 

• Provide FX Resource Management reporting, in collaboration with FX Project Managers, to ensure each FX project resource allocation is accurate and adequate for the successful execution and delivery of the FX Project. This includes ensuring the necessary updates are made to the FX Resource Pool, as well as accurate identification, assignment and release of Agency resources in FX Project Schedules. Provide Enterprise Program Management Office (EPgMO) support.

• Proficient with Microsoft Project Online.
• Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Task-driven, detail-oriented, and able to timely follow assignments to completion.
• Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to organize data into logical formats for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to engage stakeholders and listen to effectively gather requirements needed to move forward with initiatives and changes in processes in a manner that meets stakeholders' needs and enhances transitions and successful adoption by all stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams in order to meet deadlines.
• Ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage multiple projects and work assignments.
• Proven communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management.
• Experience with Medicaid systems is a plus.
• Ability to travel with or without accommodations.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience managing Information Technology projects or other similar projects.
• Two (2) years of experience managing process improvement initiatives.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference given for candidates with an active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Preference given to candidates proficient in the use of Microsoft Project Online.
