POSITION DETAILS
CUNY TV, the City University of New York???s television station, has been educating and informing viewers for more than three decades, remaining committed to extending CUNY???s academic mission to offer lifelong learning opportunities to all New Yorkers. Established in 1985, CUNY TV reaches 7.3 million broadcast households in the New York metro area from its studios at the CUNY Graduate Center. CUNY TV is broadcast over the air on channel 25.3 and in the five boroughs via cable channels, Spectrum and Optimum on channel 75, RCN on channel 77 and Verizon FiOS on channel 30.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Assistant Director of Operations assists in coordination of the production and post-production needs for CUNY TV.
The role encompasses the effective supervision and management of all aspects related to production for both studio and remote shows, the use of the radio facility (which now includes podcasting) and the coordination of special events. Accordingly, the Assistant Director of Operations is responsible for assisting the Director of Operations with scheduling and assigning crew members to work on select programs and program segments, booking the station???s facilities, cultivating relationships with, and developing a rapport with outside vendors. Additionally, for both studio and remote shows, the Assistant Director of Operations collaborates with program producers, directors, engineers, and crew members to oversee studio set-up and to assign staff according to the expressed needs of each program.
Key duties include, but will not be limited to, the following:
??? Provides support as for live switched multi-camera productions, demonstrating expertise in coordinating the visual elements to ensure a professional broadcast.
??? Assists with the scheduling and maintaining the production calendar.
??? Keeps an updated calendar of schedules for the crew for all field and studio productions.
??? Coordinates equipment and transportation for all field productions.
??? Assists the Director by taking on specific tasks, directed and assigned by the Director, in coordination with facilities, vendors, or technical teams.
??? Supports the Director of Operations in keeping and update calendar for the station???s Production team.
??? Responds to clients requests.
NOTES:
Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work on-site in the office.

Minimum Qualifications
The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and four years' related experience.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range is $75,465 to $82,928 ; commensurate with qualifications, experience, and education.
