Gentex Optics is part of EssilorLuxottica, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames and sunglasses. The Dudley, MA facility is home to Operations, Global Lens Engineering, and Research and Development teams that work together to develop, pilot and manufacture, semi-finished, polycarbonate lenses for premium markets. We also supply coatings, inks, inserts and other innovative products to customers throughout the world.

GENERAL FUNCTION

• Perform a variety of duties related to lens manufacturing.
• As a member of a high performance team, you will be responsible for a variety of jobs. As the team progresses, you, along with your team members will be a key decision maker in the operation of your part of the business.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the production of ophthalmic lenses, which includes, degating, inspection, inking, and packaging.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Job experience will be considered in place of a high school diploma or GED.
• The ability to pass an eye exam.
• Manual dexterity.
• A mix of standing and sitting is required.
• Some lifting up to 20 lbs. required.
• Anyone 18 years or older may apply.
• Ability to work in a controlled room environment
• Team-oriented mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Positive can-do attitude

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
