Job Description To provide assistance in support of clinical research studies; assist with implementation and
coordination of studies; participate in recruitment of study participants; perform behavioral or diagnostic
testing; assist with collection maintenance & reporting of clinical research data.
Minimum Education Required Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in
biological sciences, health sciences, or medical field. 0 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years
Required Qualifications of relevant experience preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences, health sciences, or medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience; experience in research capacity desired; knowledge or experience in a specialty may be desired; experience in phlebotomy may be desired; experience performing basic laboratory procedures to process biological specimens may be desired; computer skill required with
knowledge of database software applications desired. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process.
Additional Information 50% Assists with development and implementation of plans to recruit and retain study participants; assists with interviewing, recruitment and enrollment of human
subjects for participation in clinical protocol; distributes and explains processes
and goals of clinical studies to participants; assists with development of clinical
study informational and educational materials; assists with informed consent
process;
10% May conduct screening, baseline and annual assessments according to standardized procedures; obtains medical histories from participants; review and abstracts data from medical records; assists with patient evaluations;
10% Participates in development of study questionnaires; may assist with behavioral or diagnostic testing, or administration of questionnaires; assists with scoring of standardized questionnaires and development of behavioral coding systems;
15% May perform basic laboratory procedures to collect and process biological specimens; collect, logs in, and tracks samples and vital signs; documents study procedures;
15% Assists with collection, entering and maintaining clinical research data into study database; prepares documentation and data for research progress reports to study sponsors; assists with completion of Institutional Review Board (IRB), Clinical Research Center (CRC), and/or sponsor study documents.
