$90,080.00 Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits

Position Summary

This position is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing partnerships with large commercial and industrial members on business operations, account services, rate and financial assessments, energy management, energy services, power quality, project management and development to expand commercial business within the Cooperative’s service territory.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as initial point of contact for commercial members and resolve issues on rates, billing, metering, power quality, service reliability, facility expansion or modification and internal operations
  • Serve as project liaison with the members to manage utility service projects requested by commercial members
  • Lead planning and consult on design and construction of electric distribution systems to serve commercial members
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of commercial members’ business operations to provide relevant information improving productivity and lowering costs
  • Work with internal stakeholders regarding infrastructure planning, development, and growth
  • Develop and manage process improvement projects across the Cooperative related to department functions with focus on commercial and industrial accounts
  • Exhibit industry knowledge on program offerings and requirements regarding regulatory and oversight agencies including Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT)
  • Coordinate and manage commercial member project regulatory compliance
  • Analyze member meter and billing data for energy management, demand response, and billing programs
  • Maintain databases of commercial members, including member contact information and interactions
  • Support the Cooperative’s Key Account Program goals, initiatives, and continuous service offerings
  • Maintain and analyze various utility data for internal and external business requirements
  • Exhibit proficiency in utility CIS platform, billing structure, rates, and all applicable tariffs

  • Exhibit proficiency within meter data management system and be able to analyze load data related to energy programs and utility resources
  • Exhibit proficiency with data analytics, compilation, and presentation reporting used for member resources
  • Analyze rates on a periodic basis to determine if they are appropriately applied and calculated
  • Ensure that members’ usage is properly metered, billed on the appropriate rate schedule and recommend energy optimization options
  • Prepare sample bills and other projections for new, existing, or prospective entities seeking to expand
  • Facilitate the process of developing services for power quality, load shifting and improving load factor
  • Develop business relationships and maintain awareness of industry trends and activities to help meet member needs
  • Manage escalations on rate related questions from members
  • Create training material and lead training effort on non-residential member items as necessary
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new and innovative rates for commercial members
  • Educate members on energy conservation and energy efficiency programs and initiatives and recommend ways to save energy and more effectively utilize electricity
  • Serve as initial point of contact for commercial members during outages and work with Cooperative Operations personnel to assist members with outage management
  • Create maps and visuals of commercial and industrial sites, community infrastructure, utility infrastructure, and other determinants impacting commercial and industrial developments
  • Manage specific projects and other duties as assigned to the business unit
  • Maintain the security of confidential information

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Three years of utility experience
  • Project management or administrative support experience preferred
  • Directly related experience may substitute for education
  • Valid Drivers License
