Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage our civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in road construction, building infrastructure, excavation, land development, and utility installation. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Project Management :
    • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all construction activities from conception to completion.
    • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Team Leadership :
    • Lead and manage construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers.
    • Provide clear direction, support, and motivation to team members.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure effective communication and project progress.
  • Quality Control :
    • Monitor and inspect all work to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
    • Implement quality control procedures and address any issues promptly.
  • Safety Management :
    • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions.
  • Stakeholder Communication :
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
    • Provide regular project updates and address any concerns or changes.
  • Documentation and Reporting :
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on project status, financials, and risks.


Note: This is a traveling position, must be able to travel between projects.

Qualifications :

  • Experience :
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction or a related field.
    • At least 5 years as a Construction Superintendent or other supervisory experience. 
    • Proven track record of successfully managing civil construction projects.
  • Education :
    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Skills :
    • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Proficient in project management software and tools.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Requirements :
    • Ability to commute or plan to relocate to Tacoma or Seattle, WA before starting work.
    • Driver's License (Required).

Job Type: Full-time.

Salary: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year.
