We are seeking a skilled Countertop Fabricator to join our team. As a Countertop Fabricator, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality countertops according to specifications and client requirements. This role involves using various tools and materials to cut, shape, and finish countertops made from natural stone (such as granite, marble) or engineered materials (such as quartz). Attention to detail and a commitment to producing excellent craftsmanship are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
* Measure and mark dimensions and outline on stone surfaces using measuring tape, straightedge, and marking devices.
* Cut, shape, and smooth edges of stone according to drawings or templates using hand tools and power tools (e.g., saws, grinders).
* Polish and finish stone surfaces to achieve desired texture and appearance.
* Install countertops on-site, ensuring accurate fitting and alignment.
* Repair, restore, or replace damaged or defective countertops as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the workplace.
* Follow all safety protocols and procedures when handling materials and operating machinery.
* Collaborate with team members, including designers and installers, to ensure projects are completed on time and to client satisfaction.
* Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Countertop Fabricator or similar role, with a portfolio of completed projects preferred.
* Proficiency in using tools and equipment common to countertop fabrication (e.g., saws, polishers, routers).
* Knowledge of different types of stone and their properties.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and templates.
* Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
* Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, bending).
* Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in stone fabrication or a related field is a plus.
