Position Description

As a Driver, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
  • Drive company vehicles, including bobtails, flatbeds, pickup trucks, passenger cars, and small or large cargo vans
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections
  • Secure cargo, load and unload company vehicles, and fill out driver related logs
  • Maintain company vehicle in ordinance with safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Transport company goods internally and externally, distribute inter-office company mail, and shuttle passengers
  • Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions within dock areas
Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:
  • Minimum of two years of on the road driving, loading, and unloading truck experience
  • Valid driver's license, may include a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
  • Knowledge of California Basic Inspection of Terminals (CALBIT), the Department of Transportation (DOT), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Employer Pull Notice (EPN), and other agency regulations and practices
  • Meet the medical requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT)
  • Read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations
  • Experience with material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, turrets, scissor lifts, and stock pickers
  • Perform physical activities that require lifting, pulling, pushing, balancing, walking, and climbing
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Work well both independently and within a team
Preferred
