Job Description

We are a family law firm focused on guiding families through the complexities of divorce and other family law matters with the goal of helping them thrive. We are looking to add a talented family law attorney to our growing team.

Position Overview: We are searching for a self-motivated attorney who can take initiative and handle cases with minimal oversight. The primary duties involve managing all aspects of a client's case, including client communication, drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court hearings, conferences, and trials.

While the caseload is assigned by the Head Attorney, the role requires the attorney to actively support the Head Attorney by taking on cases and allowing them to focus on strategic firm goals.

Reporting Structure: The family law attorney will report directly to the Head Attorney.

Authority: The attorney will have authority over case management and certain staff supervision duties, as delegated by the Head Attorney.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to understand their objectives and goals.
  • Ensure regular communication with clients regarding case progress.
  • Develop and execute case and legal strategies, driving the case toward resolution.
  • Represent clients during depositions, mediations, settlement discussions, hearings, and trials.
  • Perform legal research and draft motions, pleadings, orders, and other court-related documents.
  • Supervise and finalize court documents under the attorney’s signature.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Law degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active California Bar license.
  • Minimum of three years of family law experience.
