Under the general direction of the Administrator II, the Associate Operations Specialist on the Filing Enforcement (FE) Systems Analysis and Support (SAS) team works to promote filing compliance of taxpayers and the success of the FE program. The FE Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for researching issues that impact FE, performing queries to research and analyze data, looking for trends and opportunities to address California’s tax gap, and supporting efforts to provide the most productive cases for FE staff to work. The analyst supports program and systems changes; and assists with the interpretation of existing reports and data models. Identifies trends, assists with decision-making, and recognizes improvement opportunities. The incumbent helps support the development of and effectively utilizes available resources to gather data to perform analysis and report outcomes. In carrying out these responsibilities, the incumbent will be expected to: model appropriate behavior for others; strive for continuous improvement in the workplace; work cooperatively with others; communicate clearly, accurately, and promptly; and treat everyone with fairness, honesty, courtesy, and respect. The incumbent uses initiative, logic, and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to business problems.
