Job Summary: The Guest Service Agent at voco the Cadence is a crucial member of the hotel team responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a positive and memorable experience for hotel guests. This individual will handle all guest interactions and inquiries, assist with check-ins and check-outs, and provide general assistance and support to guests during their stay. The Guest Service Agent will also work closely with other hotel departments to ensure seamless coordination of guest services. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry, offering a competitive compensation package of $16 to $18 per hour. Employees will be paid on a weekly basis and will also be eligible for various benefits including healthcare, paid time off, and hotel disounts at IHG hotels worldwide. Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and provide a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival
• Assist guests with the check-in and check-out process, including handling payments
• Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely manner
• Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
• Handle guest complaints and resolve any issues with professionalism and efficiency
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of reservations and room assignments
• Communicate with other hotel departments such as housekeeping and maintenance to fulfill guest requests and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction
• Maintain a neat and organized front desk area and lobby at all times
• Participate in regular training and development opportunities to continuously improve knowledge and skills

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field preferred
• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with hotel reservation systems
• Fluency in English; additional language skills a plus
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
