Well-established Northern California Land Surveying, Land Planning, and Civil Engineering Consulting firm actively seeks Land Surveyor Technician to join our thriving Pleasanton or Rocklin, CA office.

Land Survey Technician Qualifications & Experience Needed:
Minimum of one year of relevant work experience as a Land Survey Technician preparing survey exhibits such as Plats, Legal Descriptions, and Final Maps
Must have experience reducing and processing survey data.
Must be proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) is a plus
Have experience in GPS/field surveying
Trimble business software experience is a plus


Land Survey Technician Role & Responsibilities:
Pre-calculating survey data pertaining to construction staking of civil improvements and other design information in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Receive and respond by email and phone to construction staking and other field survey requests by contractors and clients
Coordinate survey field crew schedule by balancing survey requests, survey personnel and availability on a daily basis with direction from the survey manager and staff
Upload/Download field data to/from the field crews and organize the data
Interpret field notes and sketches
Perform various computations including closure, precision, and calculations for surveys, plats, easements, etc.
Use AutoCAD software to assist in production of detailed topographic surveys, ALTA/ACSM
Land Title Surveys, Record of Surveys, Parcel Maps, Final Maps, and other various survey related documents
Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for parcel and easement acquisition
Compile land title information from title reports and records research
