We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Litigation Paralegal. We are seeking someone who is eager to learn and who will find it meaningful to work with us in advancing our clients' cases. Our paralegals play a substantial role in each of our cases and are respected for their ideas and contributions. We have a collaborative, team centered culture focused on obtaining excellent results for our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the newest member of our team, our Litigation Paralegal will be positive, meticulous, diligent, highly motivated and personable. You will be prepared to quickly learn and excel at the following:
Work cooperatively with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case; including taking the initiative to regularly update attorneys on status of cases and quickly alert attorneys to important client and case needs and solutions;
Proficiency in Colorado state and federal court procedure and rules, as well as thoroughly researching court rules and procedures in other jurisdictions;
Track, manage, analyze and organize discovery, docket court and other deadlines, and client records to proactively anticipate needs;
Draft responses to pleadings and discovery requests, prepare complete and compelling timelines and demonstrative exhibits that persuasively capture the "story" of the case;
Prepare for and attend trial (including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, tracking responses during voir dire, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS
3-5+ years of litigation experience;
1+ year(s) of experience with eDiscovery platform(s);
Defense experience preferred;
Flexible, self-starter and capable of responding quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities;
Able to anticipate challenges and exercise independent judgment to make sound decisions and take effective action;
Deliver high quality work product and take ownership, responsibility, and accountability;
Comfortable with learning new technology and processes.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary of $68K-$85K depending on experience
