Job Description
We are excited to invite a highly skilled and innovative Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team as a Medical Director. In this vital role, you will provide psychiatric oversight and support outpatient clinical operations, contributing to the overall vision and program development of our agency. You will work in a community mental health outpatient setting and collaborate with a dedicated team of licensed therapists, clinical and executive directors, and other prescribing staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough psychopharmacological evaluations for clients receiving medication services.
Offer non-face-to-face services, including phone consultations with physicians, pharmacies, clients, and their parents or guardians.
Review, prescribe, and monitor medication for clients, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes.
Document all client-related contacts and provide clear dictation as required.
Contribute to program consultation and development, creating new initiatives to support the mental health of children and youth in our community. We value exploring innovative treatment delivery methods in response to the growing demand for mental health services.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to establish a partnership with a psychiatry fellowship program, supervising fellows on-site to enhance access to care for our clients.
Provide case consultation and training to clinicians as needed.
Coordinate, educate, and collaborate with local primary care providers and pediatricians to ensure comprehensive care.
Participate in the agency's Quality Management process, as required.
Be available for after-hours phone consultations on an as-needed basis.
Consult with clinicians regarding diagnostic impressions and psychopharmacological recommendations.
Prepare and maintain clinical case records, adhering to clinic guidelines for documentation.
Uphold Agency Confidentiality and Professional Code of Ethics policies in all interactions.
Ensure compliance with billing and documentation requirements mandated by Medicaid, insurances, etc., including prior authorizations when necessary.
Adhere to state and federal licensing requirements and maintain appropriate continuing education units (CEUs) for licensing.
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Three to five years of direct practice experience with juvenile and young adult populations is preferred.

Salary: $250,000 to $310,000 per year

Hybrid remote work option in Vancouver, WA 98683 (relocation required before starting work)
