Position: Real Estate Paralegal

Location: Woodbury, NY (Long Island)

Work Schedule: Hybrid - 4 days in office and Fridays remote

Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 (negotiable based on experience)

Our client is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join their team in Woodbury, New York. The successful candidate will play a crucial role within a growing 1031 Exchange company that specializes in real estate transactions. This position offers the opportunity to provide essential support to a team of tax professionals and attorneys.

Responsibilities:

- Gain a comprehensive understanding of 1031 exchange rules to facilitate basic processing of transactions.
- Collaborate with the sales team and clients to secure client engagements.
- Prepare exchange documents and coordinate with clients and their advisors.
- Manage high volume transactions efficiently.
- Maintain an organized calendar tracking critical dates and follow up accordingly.
- Engage in extensive verbal and written communication with clients, their representatives, and other involved parties in transactions.
- Keep client files updated, balance escrow accounts, maintain account statements, and provide administrative support.
- Verify wire disbursements with clients and third-party recipients.

Requirements:

- At least 1 year of paralegal experience (preferably within real estate, tax or financial services).
- Proficiency using Word and Excel software tools.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively while prioritizing work efficiently.

-Demonstrate strong organizational skills accompanied by meticulous attention to detail
-Outstanding verbal communication skills combined with articulate written communication abilities
-Analytical mindset alongside excellent interpersonal skills
-A strong work ethic is a must-have
-Prior knowledge relating to tax laws or real estate concepts will be advantageous but not mandatory
-Must handle confidential information professionally
-A bachelor degree or paralegal certification is preferred but not mandatory
