Job Description

Position Summary: The Production Planner will join the Supply Chain team, focusing on production planning and scheduling within a highly regulated industry (packaging, chemicals, automotive, or food and beverage). While experience in the pharmaceutical industry is not essential, the role requires a deep understanding of products, manufacturing processes, and resource capabilities and constraints.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain enterprise production schedules to help ensure production teams meet company goals and objectives.
• Work closely with production teams to align with the resource capacity required for production schedules.
• Create process orders in SAP S4/Hana and communicate lot numbers assigned to the batch issuance team for the creation and distribution of batch records.
• Multitask to assist production members with timely responses to simultaneous production issues.
• Communicate status updates or production changes.
• Assist the Supply Chain Manager with communication to customers about manufacturing and release schedules for their products.
• Identify potential material risks for upcoming production schedules and take necessary actions to ensure supply continuity.
• Monitor production confirmations done by production teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Required Skills:

• Ability to manage multiple production schedules.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry.
• Knowledge of Lean vernacular, specifically understanding and administering a pull philosophy.
• Skills in optimizing workflow and performance.
• Ability to create short- and long-term production schedules.
• SAP experience preferred but not necessary.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 10 years of production scheduling and planning experience with continued progression in the Supply Chain function with increasing responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
