Job Description

The Project Manager I supports and manages projects that drive operational efficiencies across Ambulatory Clinical Operations. Under the guidance of Ambulatory Clinical Operations Leadership, the Project Manager I will be directly responsible for direct planning activities including: assessing and setting project goals, determining relative value and quality of the project, setting timelines, and tracking progress of the efforts, to assure deadline compliance. S/he may draft and implement procedures and policies relating to the project(s) and prepare presentations as needed. This role will also have daily interaction with staff and other project stakeholders as it pertains to the projects assigned.

This position's work location is fully remote with occasional time on-campus in Boston, MA . T he selected candidate may only work remotely from a New England state (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI).

  • Create project plans, identify implementation steps, success metrics, timelines, resource needs, and potential obstacles for each project. Utilize standard project management tools and summary documents to track and communicate status of projects.
  • Schedule and lead project-related workgroups, record action items, and track completion status to ensure project success
  • Prepares and implements project related procedures and policies as needed
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on the progress of projects; communicating major issues and recommendations to department leadership to support decision making
  • Develops briefing materials and presentations
  • Provides data collection analysis and reporting, as appropriate
  • Other duties, as assigned

PATIENT CONTACT:

May interact with members of PFAC (Patient and Family Advisory Council) as project team members.

  • High School diploma; Bachelor?s or Master?s degree preferred.
  • 2 years of experience working in a medical or scientific research setting or comparable technology-oriented business environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong competence in computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Epic
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task
  • Must possess ability to operate independently and as part of a team
  • Possesses professional judgement and discretion
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of staff and faculty in an environment of frequently changing needs, priorities, and deadlines
