Job Description

The Women's Soccer Head Coach will be a positive, energetic leader with the ability to teach, motivate, and recruit student-athletes. The Head Coach is primarily responsible for coordinating all aspects of a NCAA Division I Women's Soccer program including, but not limited to, managing day-to-day operations, recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, fostering and supporting student-athlete welfare, practice and game day preparation and coaching, scheduling, budget management, hiring and supervising assistant coaches, fundraising and public relations, and adherence to the NCAA, Big West, and University rules. The successful candidate must be able to develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, media, alumni, and boosters while interacting successfully with department personnel and the University community.

Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training with a college-level program.

8 - 13 years of related experience.

Must maintain CPR/AED and First Aid certification.

Must maintain NCAA certified recruiter status.

Valid Drivers License

Travel Outside of Normal Business Hours

Highly advanced and effective interpersonal, motivational and team leadership skills to work effectively with athletic participants, staff and parents of student athletes.

Ability to demonstrate creativity, sound judgment and decision-making; be an effective problem solver and be highly effective communicating verbally, in writing and for live media presentations.

Recognized expertise in team sport and coaching principles for student athletes.

Supervisory and leadership skills to mentor and develop assistant coaches and/or program instruction staff.

Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as well as other associations and agencies to which the campus adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards.
